Director of Design

Nitant's eye was shaped a long way from the homes he now designs. He studied in Australia, where an appreciation for restraint, proportion and honest materials took hold — ideas that would later define his work. Returning to India, he spent his early years in the family business, learning how things are actually made: the trades, the timelines, the difference between a drawing and a finished room.

That grounding led him to start Bard Spaces, a studio built on a simple belief — that a home should be designed around the people who live in it, never the other way around. Since then he has designed residences, restaurants and bespoke furniture across India, each one a quiet argument for craft over trend.
